Catalyd was founded by partners Craig Laviano and Madeleine Clark, based in the San Francisco Bay area and assisted by a global network of seasoned consultants. For the customized multifaceted solutions offered, Catalyd leverages expertise in organizational change, leadership development, executive coaching, assessment, corporate strategy, and executive search.

Craig Laviano
Managing Partner

Craig partners with executive leaders to transform their businesses, by improving their effectiveness, and the effectiveness of their teams. His background of practical business experience allows him to simplify complex organizational situations and help his clients navigate changing environments. His decades of training in executive assessment, learning methodologies, and technology-driven tools allow him to create programs that combine high-tech with high touch to create deep learning experiences and lasting impact.

Craig has spent his career grappling with the challenge of large scale change and transformation. In his early years as a management consultant at PwC, he did organizational and operational consulting for Fortune 100 companies. At the beginning of the internet revolution, he joined Digital Think, a pioneer in digital learning solutions, to lead enterprise-level, multi-channel change initiatives. More recently, he was an Associate Partner in the Leadership Development practice at Korn Ferry. Craig earned his MBA from Claremont University and BA from UCLA.

Madeleine Clark
Senior Partner

Madeleine specializes in the acquisition and development of senior talent that catalyzes the performance of her clients’ companies. She works across organizations to build or strengthen successful teams. Madeleine has developed a reputation for placing executives with not only outstanding skills, but also the right cultural fit for her clients.

In her coaching practice, Madeleine specializes in transition, ranging from assessing one’s career brand in pursuit of the next role, to searching for an entirely new source of purpose. She earned her coaching credentials from Coaches Training Institute (CTI) San Francisco.

Before Catalyd, Madeleine was the founder of Clark Cohen Executive Search, a boutique search firm serving the marketing communications industry for twelve years. Previously, she had spent several years as a Client Partner at Korn Ferry, serving as Global Account Manager of Korn Ferry’s relationship with Omnicom. Madeleine started her career as a creative professional in large advertising agencies before transitioning to the search side of the industry. She earned her BFA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Concerned by the under-representation of women at executive levels, Madeleine created HerWerk.org to help support women on their journey to executive leadership. All profits from HerWerk go to women's non-profit organizations.
